Leeds United Ladies ut the disappointment of last weekend’s FA Women’s Cup exit behind them as they ran out 3-0 winners at Reading.
Clare Sykes opening the scoring in the 36th-minute with a strike from 16 yards out after being played in by Carey Huegett.
Reading keeper Grace Moloney went off at half time, replaced by Stacey Wiggins between the posts, and it was another Reading Stacey, Donnelly, who got the second Leeds goal when an Amy Turner shot was deflected in.
Sarah Danby got the third goal and wrapped up all three points in the 80th minute, and the result leaves Leeds guarenteed second place this season, their best-ever position on the Women’s Premier League National Division, with two games left for them and leaders Sunderland to play.
