Leeds United Ladies is pleased and proud to announce the first Inductees into our new Hall of Fame. In alphabetical order, they are:
- Julie Chipchase
Julie’s reign as manger saw the development of several younger players and an appearance for the teamĀ in three major cup finals. - Jess Clarke
Now an England regular, Jess is the first player to come through the ranks from the Centre of Excellence into the England Senior side - Gayle Formston
A former captain and ambassador for the club off the pitch, Gayle was renowned for her inspirational leadership, often playing in games though injured. - Mark Hodgson
As manager, Mark established the Leeds side as a force to be reckoned with, taking in three promotions in four years and into the National Division. - Claire Parker
Claire played for Leeds in the first game back in 1989, staying with the club for over 10 years. - Rick Passmoor
Under Rick’s tenure, the club reached yet another FA Cup Final and won the FA Premier League Cup for the first time. - Sue Smith
An established England player while still in her teens, Sue spent a major part of her career with Leeds and was a regular columnist for the Yorkshire Evening Post. - Mel Vauvelle-Don
Another of the players in the initial squad, Mel turned to an administrative role after hanging up her boots, leaving as Chairperson only in 2010. - Lucy Ward
An England international and now BBC / ESPN co-commentator, Lucy’s name is synonymous with Leeds United, to the extent that she featured in Lucas Radebe’s testimonial fixture in 2005.
