Our mission to get the whole squad sponsored took a great step forward last Sunday, thanks to Tor Erik Gudevold, a Leeds United fan from Norway.

Tor Erik offered to sponsor four players – Stacey Emmonds, Tanya Rich, Bekki Bass and Sarah Danby – and came down to the game last weekend at Watford to meet the team.

Remarkably, he’d only landed at Stansted Airport at 8am that morning, before heading out to Northwood FC via his hotel. Even more remarkably, he told us that he’d only intended sponsoring two players when he contacted us, but had the money to spare and decided to add two more.

Owing to the re-arranged men’s fixture, last Sunday’s game is the only Ladies one Tor Erik will get to see before he returns to Norway on the 31st, as he’ll be at Elland Road while we host Barnet. Everyone at Leeds United Ladies thanks Tor Erik for his sponsorship, and we’re all impressed by his dedication to the Women’s game and to Leeds United.
