Sponsorship update

22 September 2009

David Leach, Olivia Thackray, Jess Clarke and Leanne Brown.Eight clubs have signed up to become Community Club Partners with Leeds Carnegie Ladies players for the 2009-10 season.

Scotton Scorchers, Rothwell Juniors, Battyeford Sports Club, Ossett Albion Juniors, Garforth Rangers, Shelf Juniors, Farsley Celtic and Ilkley Juniors will all benefit from a package designed to help not only the club and its coaches develop, but allow players from each club to aspire to be just like their football role models.

With more clubs due to come onboard in the next few weeks, any other junior girls’ club wishing to find out more about the scheme should look at the Community Club Partnership page on this site.

Personal and business sponsorship opportunities are also available, and long-time club supporters, David Leach and Leanne Brown, will once again be supporting Olivia Thackray and Jess Clarke.

“Both types of partnership are crucial to the club’s development,” said Chris Welburn. “The Community Club Partnership is an innovative scheme, which directly adds value to any respective girls football club programme”

“Player sponsorship is a much more traditional scheme, but with our move to Farsley Celtic and back into the City of Leeds, we’re keen to get as many local people and business involved in supporting the club as possible.”

To sponsor a player, as a club, business or individual, or to find out about other matchday sponsorship opportunities, contact Chris Welburn on 0113 812 9375 or c.welburn@leedsmet.ac.uk.
