Winterton Rangers Ladies FC is the latest community sponsor of Leeds United Ladies keeper and Assistant Manager Leanne Hall.

WInterton joins Scotton Scorchers, sponsors of Sophie Walton, as Player Community Sponsors.

"Player sponsorship is very important both the clubs and its players," said Ladies's Chairperson Melanie Vauvelle-Don. "It's a great way for us to build up relationships with grassroots levels clubs and for them to  get a real insight into a Women's National Premier league Club, not only does it benefit the Community clubs own players but also their coaches who are encouraged to come along to a few training sessions and see top level coaches working with International standard players.

This is the second season of the Player Community Partnership scheme, which is aimed at local sports clubs.

The club also has other sponsorship packages available, offering free tickets, signed photos and the chance to attend training sessions and away games, for just £250.

"Leeds United Ladies has to raise all of its own funds ," added Melanie. "We do have a great partner in Carnegie, but we still have to raise a lot of money ourselves to ensure we can compete in the Women's Premier league, it is very expensive travelling all over the country. We are still looking for a shirt sponsor, it is a wonderfull opportunity for a brand to gain local & national media coverage work with the club and its players aswell as being associated with the most participated female sport in the uk."

Please note

The Leeds United Ladies v Watford HOME league game this Sunday ( 25th November) is POSTPONED due to Leeds United Ladies having Sue Smith & Carly Telford in the England squad facing Spain on Sunday.
